North Central Chapter of ODS

I don't know about your place, but ours has certainly been wet this spring! I think that only one of the 3 shows that we have had so far this year, didn't start out under water. We have bailed and toted water out of the arena several times this year so that we could go on with the show. But thanks to all of our people who know how to hold a bucket we have gotten it done everytime it was needed. Thankfully the June show did not need any bucketing.

We started the year out with a couple of nice clinics, one being a exercise workout program for the rider, and the other was a grooming to win clinic for the horses. Then we have hosted 3 shows to date so far this year. I, as President of NCC, am open to any and all ideas for what you all would like to see happen for the remainder of this year. We do have 3 more shows scheuled this fall. We also have our Mayne Event trail ride again this year in Sept. in Deer Creek.
Then before the trail ride, and this is coming up quickly, are the horse, mules, and dog races in Anthony, Kansas.
I haven't heard from any of you about attending this. So I guess my family and Bob's will probably be the only ones to go. You sure are missing a really fun time though. Consider coming it really is a lot of fun.

Don't forget we have the ODS summer meeting at the Philbrook museum in Tulsa on July 26th. PLEASE check the ODS website for more details. We are having a speaker, Ms. Charlotte Kin DVM will be having the program for us this year.
Come and listen and learn.

We are also needing sponsors for the Region 9 Championships this year in Oct. from the 17-19th at the Lazy E in Guthrie, Ok. We are giving a free stall to every participant who gets $250 in sponsorships. AND if you turn them in at the summer meeting we are having a drawing there for something really nice. So be the early bird not the worm,
and get your stall for the Championships paid for.

We are going to be having a going away party for Natalie & Raelene Goodwin at Pizza Hut on July 3rd starting at 6pm so if you can PLEASE come and let's show them that they will be missed and that we are glad that they were here.
