NCC schooling show news: We had a really good time even with the cool wind. We really enjoyed our horses and each others company.Maybe because we had to stay close together just to stay warm.
We had a newcomer to our group, Susan Rush and she is also a new NCC/ODS member so please welcome
Susan and her family when you see them. Her horse's name is Frost My Chaps but better known as Bubba.
We also had a new member but an old friend join us this year and that is Sonja McDanel. Sonja we are very glad to have you join us this year. We have always enjoyed your company and your lovely horses. Glad you were here. Many old familiar faces were there and some old faces that are coming back into riding like Mike Colclasure who by the way was high point adult of the show riding Moses. Natalie Goodwin was high point junior riding My Prayer.
There was interest in the in-hand classes so with 3 horses wanting to do it, we combined the class into one class and everyone learned how to show on the triangle. This is what schooling shows are supposed to help you do LEARN for the rider, handler, and the horses. Many thanks to all of the NCC members and friends who helped to make this first show of the season a success! The NCC is only as strong as it's members and I think we are stronger than ever before.
Thanks again to everyone who helped and our chef Ricky Boyd for making the spaghetti & salad for the concessions. Yep, we feed everyone pretty good at the shows. Also all the proceeds from our concessions go to a fund just for our juniors. Hope to see you all at the next show May 24th with LeeAnn Alf as
our judge.......
Happy Transitions
