Hi Everyone,
Feburary has been unbelievable you know? Wonderful, beautiful weather to ride in Feburary is almost unheard of in Oklahoma!! Lucky us huh?
Well, I sent out a vote sheet for picking a date to have our first horsey event. We are voting on the dates of March 24 (Saturday) or March 25 (Sunday) to have a fun show and a BBQ at "A Little Bit of Heaven" Please reply in a timely manner to the email that I sent out so that we can set this date in stone and get our Play day, Dressage Style, on horseback worked up and ready!! It is a great way to get your horses out into the arena again before show season.
We will also have a general discussion of where we want to go with our club this coming year and the one after this also.
ALSO Stillwater has a LOT of clinics coming up and just click on their website and check them out. We should really be taking advantage of all of this wonderful education that they are brining to our area. We really need to help support them.
So watch for the actual date for the fun day ---WITH PRIZES--- and the BBQ will be supplied by NCC but you will need to bring a side or dessert.

Hello NCC Members and others interested in Dressage,
The NCC of ODS is hosting it's last Schooling Show on Nov. 6th starting at 12 noon. Our judge that day is Denise Laigle. Denise is a "L" Graduate with distinction. Denise has judged for us many times before and we always look forward to her great and constructive comments. So please email me your entries ASAP since I didn't get the word out too fast about this last show NOT being a 2fer. Thanks for all of your support over the years.

Hello Dressage Enthusiasts of the NCC!!!
Well, it is going to be the fall before the NCC will be hosting their 2fer shows this year. Our tentative dates are Oct. 2nd and Nov.6th.
Remember now is the time to start getting your horses ready. It has been so hot not too many of us have been really riding regularly. But I do know of quite a few of you die hards that ride still everyday. My hat is off to YOU!! I can't handle the heat like I used to, but fall is just around the corner for all of us! All I can say to that is YAHOO!!
We will be posting the showbills soon and naming our judges so keep an eye out here and on the ODS website for more information. In case you don't know or just don't remember the 2fer shows are one show in the morning with one judge and a second show in the afternoon with another.
I like this idea since we couldn't spread them out this year. Haul once ride 2 shows, bathe (the horse) once ride 2 shows, Clip your horse once and ride 2 shows. Well, with todays economy this looks to be a promising idea.
Now we didn't come up with this Cheryl West of ATRC did and she shared it with us. Thank You Cheryl!!
Keep your eyes out for the showbill. We will be having "Western Dressage" if we get any interest in it.
